Description
UCHealth Greeley Hospital Emergency Department & Pediatric Observation Unit The UCHealth Greeley Hospital Emergency Department (GH ED) and Pediatric Observation Unit provide care for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced community hospital setting serving Northern Colorado. Our department cares for adult and pediatric patients across the acuity spectrum, from minor illnesses and injuries to critically ill patients requiring rapid stabilization, resuscitation, and transfer to higher levels of care when needed. In addition to emergency services, our nurses support a Pediatric Observation Unit that provides short-stay care for pediatric patients requiring ongoing monitoring, treatment, and evaluation. Nurses caring for this population must be comfortable transitioning between emergency and observation-level care while maintaining a family-centered approach. GH ED nurses are expected to function independently, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, EMS, pharmacists, technicians, and inpatient teams. Successful team members are adaptable, accountable, and thrive in an environment where patient conditions, priorities, and volumes can change rapidly. Patient Population
