Responsibilities Include
- Performing age-specific assessments, developing individualized plans of care, and implementing treatment strategies based on patient data, physician orders, and procedure criteria.
- Maintaining knowledge of all nursing aspects in routine and emergency situations, communicating patient condition changes promptly, and administering medications according to policies.
- Evaluating patient progress, providing discharge education, and coordinating ongoing care with families and team members.
- Delegating tasks, supervising team members, and ensuring high standards of care through effective organization, prioritization, and collaboration.
- Applying evidence-based practices and adhering to professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
- No prior experience required.
- Valid RN license in Missouri or a Compact State, along with BLS and ALS or equivalent certifications. Additional certifications such as PALS or NRP are preferred.
Skills And Physical Requirements
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, and maneuvering patients and equipment.
- Proficiency in visual, auditory, and olfactory senses for patient monitoring.
Work Environment
