Job Overview: ICU Nurse

The Clinical Nurse (CN) is an RN who provides hands-on patient care, practicing within the Scope of Practice of the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory requirements, standards of care, and hospital policies. Responsibilities include assessing patients, interpreting data, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, coordinating with other providers, and educating patients and families. The CN partners with families to deliver family-centered care, monitors the quality of nursing care, and maintains professional development and licensure, including BLS certification. The CN also contributes to the nursing profession through teaching and sharing expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
Effective communication skills in English.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
