About this position

PSV has an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. The role supports the Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Clinic in Fairfax, VA, is full‑time (Mon–Fri 8:30 AM–5:00 PM). Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Job Description

• Analyzes assessment data gathered from patient and family to ensure completion of database and plan of care within identified timeframes.
• Role models excellent clinical skills with complex patients. Care reflects analysis of patient status and appropriate interventions.
• Directs prioritization and organization for complex patients. Care reflects analysis of patient status and appropriate interventions.
• Documentation exemplifies adherence to the highest standards of practice.
• Anticipates and proactively plans for educational needs verified with patient and family throughout the hospital/outpatient stay and prior to discharge.
• Excels in organizational skills, adjusts for changes, and is able to complete assignments on time.
• Role models caring in all encounters with patient and family as evidenced by feedback from parents and an increase in patient satisfaction scores.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduated from an approved school of nursing.
• Valid VA RN license.
• All employees must pass a TB, drug, and physical exam.
• Registered Nurse currently licensed in Virginia, dependent upon location of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current BLS certification.

Desired Qualifications

• BSN (preferred).
• Prior orthopedic experience; pediatric experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
