Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8-Hour Shifts | Edwardsville Ambulatory Surgery Center
Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our Surgical Services team at our Ambulatory Surgery Center. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys perioperative care, values teamwork, and thrives in a structured outpatient surgical environment focused on safety, efficiency, and excellent patient outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Providing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care
- Performing patient assessments and preparing patients for surgery
- Assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists during procedures
- Maintaining sterile technique and ensuring a safe surgical environment
- Monitoring patients and responding to changes in condition
- Supporting smooth workflow and efficient surgical case management
- Ensuring accurate documentation and continuity of care
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- 8-hour shifts
- No weekends
What We’re Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN required)
- Current Illinois RN license
- Current BLS certification required
- OR experience preferred
