Schedule: Per diem requirements: 32 hours per 8 week time block and 24 hours of weekend on call per 8 week time block. Day/Evenings with call per unit need‑ (holidays/ weekends).
Main Function
The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care in the Perioperative setting utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN coordinates nursing care to patients, provides a safe patient environment, and delegates and supervises activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining the standards of professional nursing practice.
Qualifications
- Required – NYS licensed registered nurse
- Current BLS certification
- Preferred – CNOR
Education
- Required - graduate of approved school of nursing
- Preferred – BSN
Experience
- Recent acute care/OR experience required
