Position Overview
Provides professional nursing care in the surgical operating room, supporting patients undergoing invasive procedures.
- Key Responsibilities: Performs scrub functions by handling instruments and supplies, and circulating functions by monitoring and communicating patient status.
- Assists surgeons with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepares operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures.
Qualifications
Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse, with BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire. OR experience is strongly preferred.
- Minimum education includes a diploma from an accredited nursing program.
Skills & Requirements
Ability to perform scrub and circulating functions, assist surgical team, and handle patient care before, during, and after surgery.
