Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Join our team as an RN in the Operating Room, providing comprehensive surgical nursing care across various specialties such as ENT, General, Gynecology, Neurology, and more.

Responsibilities Include

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with physician orders.
• Developing individualized care plans and utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Managing patient assignments, delegating tasks appropriately, and supporting patient and family education.
• Ensuring patient rights and facilitating discharge planning using community resources.
• Mentoring and precepting new staff, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with department standards.

Qualifications

• Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience, including circulating and scrubbing roles.
• Department-specific certifications may be required; a BSN is preferred.

Skills And Abilities

• Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical judgment.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged standing, lifting, patient maneuvering, and exposure to infectious agents and chemicals.
