Responsibilities Include
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with physician orders.
- Developing individualized care plans and utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Managing patient assignments, delegating tasks appropriately, and supporting patient and family education.
- Ensuring patient rights and facilitating discharge planning using community resources.
- Mentoring and precepting new staff, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with department standards.
Qualifications
- Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience, including circulating and scrubbing roles.
- Department-specific certifications may be required; a BSN is preferred.
Skills And Abilities
- Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical judgment.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged standing, lifting, patient maneuvering, and exposure to infectious agents and chemicals.
