Overview
Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN). This role involves facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. You will promote the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. You will demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, the organizational mission, and core values.
Responsibilities
- Circulate and/or scrub on all cases.
- Primarily cover Gen, Ortho (trauma), Neuro, Spine, Eyes, ENT, GU, Robotics (DaVinci XI/SI), Vascular, Endovascular, Cardiac, Trauma OB/GYN.
- One specialized team for Cardiac; all associates are cross-trained for all other services.
- Provide breaks and assist with supplying sterile instruments as needed during operations.
- Assist with room turnover and restocking for next day’s cases.
- Act as an advocate for the patient before, during, and after surgery.
Additional details: 17 OR suites including 1 trauma room, a hybrid room, designated CVOR and a cystoscopy suite. Approx. 450-500 cases per month. Schedule: 36 hrs/week, nights, with variable days and shift start times. Call required approx. 4 call shifts in a 6-week schedule block. Typically, no weekend call unless covering PTO. 30-minute callback radius required.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Education Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates; preferred for experienced RNs
Experience Requirements:
- One year experience preferred
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
Licenses/Certification Requirements:
- RN License required; current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
Physical Requirements:
- Medium work - Exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly
Relocation and Sign-On Bonuses
Based on location, you may be eligible for an additional relocation bonus up to $10,000 (some exclusions may apply). Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience may be eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus; some variability applies. Some exclusions may apply. Pay Range
$33.15 - $53.04 /hour
