POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintains imaging records. Processes all imaging examinations for correct activity and research's patient history in HBO when applicable. Makes previous / current exams available to Radiologists and referring physicians. Signs out records per policy. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Requires light-medium lifting. Must understand numeric filing system and demonstrate reasoning for file search. Must be able to interact with patients, physicians and other departments in a professional manner.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in the medical field preferred.


• Must be accurate with names and numbers


• Basic computer skills.


• Must be self-motivated once job duties are learned and is able to work with minimal supervision.


• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital.


• Works with supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment.


• Ensure that all contact with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner.


• Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner.

Must clear background and drug test required.
