Overview

Join our esteemed Neuro ICU team in Charlotte, NC. We are seeking a dedicated professional to enhance patient care in the Neuro ICU unit.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU (no exceptions).
  • Experience with stroke patients is essential.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH.
  • Proficiency in: vents, IV start, dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, EVD, ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery management, ventilated patient care, isolation precautions, lumbar drain experience.
  • Preferred: arterial line management.

Job Details

  • Patient Ratios: 2:1, can flex to 3:1 during high census.
  • Shift: 12-hour nights, 18:45 – 07:15, 36 hours/week.
  • Contract: 13 weeks.
  • RTO: 7 days max.
  • Float Requirement: Yes.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
  • Patient Diagnoses: Strokes, SDH, craniotomies, carotid procedures, aneurysms, seizures, myasthenia gravis.
  • Special Equipment: EVD, lumbar drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM, Arctic Sun.
  • Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR.
  • Scrubs: Navy blue & white.

Note: Applicants must pass EKG testing and have a strong Neuro Critical Care background.
