Schedule
Night shift, rotate weekends.
Responsibilities
- Completes initial and ongoing assessments.
- Assessment includes physical, psychosocial, environmental, self‑care abilities, educational, age‑appropriate, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
- Supervises others and assists with orientation and training of staff as directed.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi‑state compact license).
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of acute care experience; recent experience within the past 3 years preferred.
- Requires critical thinking skills.
- Decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
