Location & Schedule

Location: Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center, Bolivia, NC
Schedule: PRN
Shift: 12‑Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Department: Medical–Surgical

What You’ll Do

• Perform comprehensive assessment ensuring subjective & objective data, physical and psychosocial factors, and patient preferences are integrated to identify immediate and future care needs.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to develop care plans, set realistic goals, and adjust plans as patients evolve.
• Act as patient advocate while implementing the interdisciplinary plan, educating patients and prioritizing interventions.
• Administer and evaluate medication therapies, provide routine nursing care (IVs, dressing changes, etc.), and respond to critical situations such as CPR.
• Safely transfer and transport patients and handle necessary equipment.
• Continuously assess progress toward goals, modify the plan in collaboration with the team to achieve desired outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN license in the state of license. BLS certification required.
• Experience: Minimum one year acute care nursing; preferred one year medical‑surgical.
• Requirements: If license inactive, retired, or lapsed >5 years, must complete a Board‑approved refresher course and apply for reinstatement within one year.
