Float Pool Nurse
Do you want to care for patients across different inpatient departments while enjoying flexibility and a pay differential? Saint Luke’s North Hospital is hiring a Float Pool Nurse. You will help improve hospital throughput and capacity by floating as needed based on staffing and patient care needs between the following units: surgical intermediate, medical telemetry, medical intermediate, physical rehabilitation, and behavioral health.
Shift Details
Full-time day shift, 6:45am–7:15pm, 3 shifts per week.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process.
- Perform patient care, delegate tasks, and supervise other patient‑care staff.
- Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consult with other health-care team members when indicated to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency and abide by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
Qualifications
- 1 year applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Registered Nurse (RN) with Multi‑State license and National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS) certification.
- Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) credential.
