What You'll Do
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
- Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
- Develop and coordinate a patient/family-centered plan of care.
- Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
- Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning technologies.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
- Initiate interventions related to changes in patient condition.
- Adhere to established protocols and document care accurately.
Requirements
Education
- Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
- BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire
Experience
- Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency Program
Licenses & Certifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
- BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire
- National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
