Registered Nurse /LPN

Company Description Shoreview Pediatrics is an independent, physician-owned pediatric practice based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse/LPN role based in Milwaukee, WI. The nurse will provide direct patient care in a pediatric outpatient setting, including taking vital signs, administering medications and vaccines, performing routine tests, and assisting with procedures. Daily responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, reviewing and updating patient histories, triaging patient calls, and providing education to patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care. The role involves accurate documentation in the electronic health record, coordinating with physicians and other team members, and supporting follow-up care as needed. The nurse will contribute to a safe, child-friendly environment while maintaining infection control standards and clinic workflows.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Wisconsin, in good standing.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in pediatric nursing, including administering vaccines, medications, and basic office procedures.
• Strong assessment and triage abilities, with experience taking vital signs, conducting basic screenings, and recognizing signs of acute illness.
• Proficiency with electronic health records, accurate documentation, and basic computer skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Ability to provide clear, age-appropriate patient and family education and support in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
• Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and adherence to clinic policies and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
• Prior experience in pediatrics, primary care, or outpatient clinic nursing is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is a plus.
