Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care - FT Nights

About This Role

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. This position focuses on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team for a variety of complex patients.

What You'll Do

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.

Requirements

Education: BSN preferred, must obtain within 3 years of hire

Experience: 6+ months of nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse license required
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required
• Telemetry Certification preferred
