Registered Nurse- Intensive Care Unit

Overview

We are seeking an ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN) to provide intensive care to patients with life‑threatening conditions. The ICU RN will have advanced critical care skills, make quick decisions, and deliver compassionate care. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering IV fluids, and coordinating care plans with the medical team.

Location: Pampa Regional Medical Center, Pampa, TX.

Bonus

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality care to critically ill patients by performing detailed assessments, developing care plans, and implementing complex nursing interventions.
• Use advanced equipment such as cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and capnography devices to continuously track vital signs and physiological parameters.
• Safely administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products with precise dosing and timing, closely monitoring patient responses to ensure effectiveness and prevent adverse reactions.
• Manage life‑support devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, acting as a liaison to ensure they understand the care being provided.
• Document all aspects of patient care to ensure continuity and compliance while rigorously maintaining infection control and safety protocols to protect vulnerable patients.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and must maintain it.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and must maintain it.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital; critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Employment Details

• Employment type: Full Time.
• Shift: Day – 12‑hour shift from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
• Location: Pampa Regional Medical Center, Pampa, TX.
