The ICU RN provides critical care for patients with life-threatening conditions or comorbidities that require sophisticated organ support and invasive monitoring. This role demands a highly skilled nurse who can think critically and act quickly in a challenging environment, ensuring optimal care for high-acuity patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients experiencing life-threatening conditions.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and manage ventilators as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assess and document patient conditions accurately in electronic ealth records (EHR).
  • Respond to emergencies and intervene as necessary to stabilize patients.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and procedures.

License/Certification:

  • Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certification required.
  • Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in computer charting systems, specifically EPIC.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
