What You'll Do
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
- Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
- Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
- Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
- Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
- Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
- Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
- Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
Requirements
Education:
- Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years preferred.
Experience:
- Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey required by date of hire.
- BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
- National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
