Summary
Provides general nursing care to patients in Emergency Department.
Education Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing, Associate's Degree from a two‑year college or Bachelor's Degree from a four‑year college
- Successful completion of a prescribed curriculum of study which has led to licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas
- Evidence of possessing the experience of a licensed nurse on a staff level
- Preferred: at least one year of successful practice in nursing and previous critical care‑related nursing experience
Required Certifications
- CPR
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Certification Timeline
Must obtain BCLS and ACLS within 1 year, and PALS and Trauma Nursing Core Course within 2 years.
