Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal‑directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay Rate Type: Hourly
• Pay Grade: Health‑28
• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 12
• Hours Per Week: 24–48 hrs per every 6‑week schedule, depending on the tier you choose
• Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: 12‑hr shifts

Minimum Training and Education

Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations

• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required – certification from AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or an equivalent certification (e.g., American Red Cross CPR/AED).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) also required.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors, and working at elevated or confined/cramped spaces.
• Ability to perform job functions from kneeling positions, bend at the waist, twist at the waist, squat, and lift/carry 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to maintain vision, hearing, color discrimination, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and work rotating shifts, overtime, and in latex‑safe environments.
• (Selected positions) Ability to maintain olfactory sensory function and qualify for respirator use.
