Registered Nurse - ICU - Weekend Contract D/E

Schedule: Full-time - 36 hours/week. 12-hour Day/Evening weekend contract. Holiday responsibilities per department scheduling guidelines.

Main Job Function

• Utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care provided to patients.
• Providing patient education and coordinating the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing practice standards.

Qualifications

• NYS licensed registered nurse required.
• Current CPR/BLS required.
• ACLS within one year.
• CCRN preferred.

Education

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• BSN required or commitment to complete within five years of appointment.
• Certification in clinical specialty or willingness to complete when eligible.
• Evidence of cardiac arrhythmia course or critical care course within one year of employment.

Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of medical/surgical experience required.
• Cardiac monitoring preferred.
• Critical care preferred.
• Able to prioritize and plan for the unexpected.
• Able to delegate tasks appropriately.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliability and flexibility.

Position Pay Range: $38.00‑$50.00 per hour.

Starting Pay: Based on experience.
