Location and Schedule

Lebanon, KY.

Full time. Days 7am-7pm & every other weekend.

Overview

Spring View Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is a 75‑bed facility in Lebanon, KY offering a full range of services with state‑of‑the‑art technology including pain management, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, behavioral health services, wound care and laboratory.

Our ICU is a 7‑bed unit focused on teamwork and effective communication to provide specialized care to critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates professional development and clinical competency; utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and family as appropriate.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Floats to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse‑to‑patient ratios.
• Manages ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and vapotherm devices.
• Titrates and maintains critical drips on ICU patients, including knowledge of indications, contraindications, and side effects.
• Passes a rhythm recognition test within 90 days of hire/transfer.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS training required within 12 months of hire.
• One year of nursing experience required.
• Must receive Handle With Care training within 30 days of orientation and keep it annually.
