RN House SupervisorThe RN House Supervisor will ensure smooth, safe, and efficient clinical operations across the entire hospital. The RN Supervisor is the administrative representative of hospital leadership when management is off-site. The RN House Supervisor will ensure that staffing, patient care, crisis response, and interdepartmental coordination are handled without interruption.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):May directly intervene in emergency situations, including patient codes, Rapid Response activations, or behavioral escalationsMonitors patient flow: supervise bed availability and coordinates admissions, discharges, and inter-unit transfersWork closely with the emergency department (ED), intensive care units (ICU), med-surg floors, and ancillary departments (lab, imaging, pharmacy) to avoid bottlenecksManage staffing by evaluating unit needs based on census, patient acuity, and absences; reallocates existing staff and coordinates float pool, per diem, or agency supportPrepare comprehensive shift reports and documents critical incidents—including patient complaints, staff conflicts, injuries, and safety concernsOversee hospital operations during assigned shifts, ensuring quality care, efficient patient flow, and staff coordination in the absence of administrative leadershipSupports staff, assist with urgent procedures and staffing, ensure RN staff orientation, and promote a positive patient experienceQualificationsEducation, Work Experience & Qualifications:1. Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
4. One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred. 5. Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience 6.
