Registered Nurse Float Pool II Full Time Nights

Position Summary

• The Float Pool Registered Nurse (FPRN) II is a flexible and experienced professional RN who is competent to work within the following specialty groups.
• The FPRN II is an expert clinical nurse who utilizes the nursing process to provide safe and therapeutic care to emergent and critically ill and injured patients. They function as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team, carrying out established policies, procedures and standards to meet the needs of high‑acuity patients and advocating forward movement of the mission, vision, and values of the organization, promoting patient throughput, optimal patient experience, and integrating evidence‑based nursing into clinical practice.
• As a Registered Nurse III (FPRN II) in the Float Pool, you will be oriented to multiple inpatient departments. Our nursing float pool supplements staffing throughout the hospital based on need. Nurses can float between multiple areas:
• • Medical Surgical
  • Telemetry
  • DOU
  • ICU

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the California Board of Registered Nursing
• Current American Heart Association BLS card
• Current American Heart Association ACLS card
• EKG Certification
• Current NIH Stroke certification
• Los Angeles County Fire Card required (within 30 days of hire)
• Assault Response Competency (ARC) required (within 30 days of hire)
• Chemotherapy Certificate to be obtained within 90 days of employment
