What You'll Do

  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
  • Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
  • Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
  • Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
  • Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
  • Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
  • Initiate interventions related to patient's change in condition.
  • Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
    • BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire
  • Experience:
    • 6+ months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program
  • Licenses & Certifications:
    • Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License
    • BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 60 days of entering position
    • National Certification in area of specialty preferred
