Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) with a strong background in orthopedic joint replacement, specifically hip and knee arthroplasty. The RNFA will provide advanced intraoperative surgical assistance and perioperative patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Preoperative
- Review patient records and imaging
- Ensure readiness of equipment and implants
- Assist with positioning and sterile prep
Intraoperative
- Assist in Total Knee and Hip Arthroplasty
- Provide retraction, suction, and exposure
- Perform tissue handling, hemostasis, and closure
- Support robotic-assisted systems
Postoperative
- Apply dressings and assist with recovery
- Monitor and document patient status
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Completion of RNFA program
- CNOR preferred; CRNFA preferred
- 2–3 years orthopedic OR experience
- BLS and ACLS required
Skills
- Knowledge of joint anatomy and procedures
- Experience with implant systems
- Strong teamwork and surgical skills
