Role Overview

Location: Mayfield, KY
Schedule: Full‑time, nights 7p‑7a
Sign‑on bonus available (eligible)

We are a part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to improving community health. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Emergency Room (ER) at Jackson Purchase Medical Center, you will provide specialized, high‑quality care to critically ill patients within a 14‑bed unit.

Responsibilities

• Implement the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care and monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well‑being.
• Engage patients’ families to improve patients’ functional abilities and support them in coping with illness.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
• Handle with Care (HWC) proficiency within six months of hire.
• One year of RN experience preferred.
• American Society of Life Support (ASLS) certification preferred.
