The Cardiovascular/Electrophysiology Specialist provides professional care in the Invasive Cardiac, Electrophysiology, and Vascular Laboratories in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate evidence-based practice and perform care for the comfort and wellbeing of the patient.
  • Perform and/or assist with treatments, therapies, and procedures (including scrub assistant, monitoring, and circulating) under the direction of the physician.
  • Administer medication under the direct supervision of the physician, as appropriate.
  • Document a current clinical picture and record designated information in the patient record.
  • Convey relevant information to physicians and teammates.
  • Calculate, interpret, and analyze data.
  • Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and standards of care reflective of current practice and literature.
  • Participation in committee and governance activities is highly recommended.

Schedule

Available shift options include:

  • 10‑hour shifts, a combination of 4 weekdays (Monday to Friday), assumed to be 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • 12‑hour shifts, a combination of 2 weekdays and 1 weekend day, assumed to be 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM.

The primary need is for weekdays, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, four 10‑hour shifts. No weekend call is required.

Qualifications

Previous procedural experience or electrophysiology (EP) experience is essential. On‑the‑job training is a significant challenge and requires experienced candidates.
