Role: A Registered Professional Dialysis Nurse provides safe, high-quality patient care during dialysis treatments through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsibilities: Develops individualized care plans, conducts pre- and post-treatment assessments, administers medications, and monitors dialysis equipment to ensure safety and efficiency. Maintains accurate documentation, manages resources responsibly, and responds appropriately to complications or emergencies. Ensures timely patient transport and participation in care planning, while verifying equipment safety and billing accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires an RN license, BLS certification, with ACLS and PALS preferred. Prior dialysis experience and clinical nursing in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg are advantageous. Strong knowledge of dialysis procedures, equipment operation, medication administration, and documentation is essential.
Key Duties: Operate dialysis equipment, perform assessments, manage patient safety, administer medications, document care and charges, and ensure resource stewardship. Perform other duties as assigned to support quality dialysis care.
