The Perianesthesia Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing individualized, age specific, culturally competent care to patients undergoing or recovering from anesthesia. Preoperatively, the RN obtains a health history and assesses the patient to establish a baseline. The RN also works with the physician and anesthesiologist to ensure each patient is appropriately readied for their procedure.
