Registered Nurse - Critical Care

Overview

Registered Nurse - Critical Care at Heritage Valley Health System. DEPARTMENT: Critical Care. WORK HOURS: (3) 12 hour shifts per week; rotating days/nights; every other weekend & holidays. Provides professional nursing care practicing legal nursing responsibilities as indicated by the Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing, current Pennsylvania licensure, other state licensure as required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support. Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
• One year recent experience in any of the following specialties: Critical Care, Cath lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit or Emergency Department or two years of telemetry nursing experience. Will consider three years of Medical Surgical Nursing.

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing.
• Two years of acute care nursing experience or one year of Critical Care nursing experience.
• Certification in this specialty area.
