Supporting the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Congenital Heart Surgery Database (CHSD) Audit Program, the part-time remote Registered Nurse CHSD Reviewer will conduct independent reviews of medical records, ensuring data accuracy and completeness while adhering to established quality standards. Key responsibilities Review and audit clinical data against source medical record documentation for the STS Congenital Heart Surgery Database Validate case selection, procedure coding, and registry variables for accuracy and completeness Document findings and identify discrepancies in accordance with HMS audit methodologies Required qualifications Registered Nurse (RN), physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or other clinically licensed healthcare professional Minimum two years of recent clinical, registry abstraction, quality improvement, or audit experience Experience reviewing complex medical records Strong understanding of clinical documentation requirements and medical terminology Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical records
