Cath Lab Unit

North Alabama Medical Center features four Cardiac Catheterization Labs, one dedicated to electrophysiology studies. The cath lab provides services for 13 cardiologists, two vascular surgeons, and one interventional radiologist. It diagnoses and treats cardiovascular disease, performs dye tests on patients’ hearts and vessels, and uses balloons and stents to treat blockages. It is the only interventional cath lab within 75 miles of Florence capable of treating heart‑attack patients.

How You’ll Contribute

• Initiate and continue nursing care before, during, and after the cardiac procedure.
• Administer drugs and medications, monitor hemodynamics, and set up all cardiac procedures.
• Exercise judgment to analyze patient care or hospital issues and decide appropriate actions within standard practice.

What We’re Looking For

• Current state RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• 1–3 years of RN work experience.
