Position
Registered Nurse MNA Department: Med/Surg- Cardiac Telemetry Schedule: 32 Hours, 11p-7a, Every Other Weekend
Responsibilities
- Provide care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly and individualized needs such as impairments, non-English speaking, potential victims of abuse
- Incorporate knowledge of patient rights, mission, vision, and values into nursing practice
- Assume full responsibility for the quality of nursing care, including health maintenance, teaching, counseling, collaborative planning, and restoration of optimal functioning or dignified death
- Delegate nursing acuities to other registered nurses or healthcare personnel while ensuring ultimate responsibility for patient outcomes
- Utilize excellent assessment, clinical, organizational skills and computer knowledge; capacity to charge
- Be able to lift, transfer, and move patients; communicate verbally and in writing in English; perform required mathematical computations for treatment protocols
Requirements
- Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); must obtain BSN within 4 years
- License/Certifications: Current RN MA license, BLS + ACLS required
- Experience: 1-2 years of acute Med/Surg experience strongly preferred in hospital setting
