Registered Nurse, Neurology

Full-Time Nights | 13-Week Assignment | Bethesda, MD

Kelly Government Solutions is a strategic supplier and business partner to the federal government and its key suppliers. We are seeking two experienced Registered Nurses to support a Neurological Unit at a federal healthcare facility in Bethesda, Maryland.

This 13-week opportunity is ideal for RNs with a strong background in acute-care Medical-Surgical nursing, Neurology, and seizure management who are comfortable working in a specialized inpatient environment.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse supporting the Neurological Unit, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with neurological conditions. Successful candidates will bring strong clinical assessment skills and demonstrated experience recognizing, monitoring, and responding to neurological changes and seizure activity.

What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological conditions
• Perform ongoing neurological and patient assessments and accurately document clinical findings
• Monitor for seizure activity and changes in neurological status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient care
• Provide education and support to patients and their families
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable standards and facility requirements

Assignment & Schedule

• Location: On-site at 10 Center Drive, Bethesda, MD
• Assignment: 13 weeks
• Employment Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekends & Holidays: Required as needed
• Positions Available: 2
• Position is open until filled
• Up to $31/hr plus H&W $5.42 up to 40 hours per week

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited university
• Diploma in Nursing from an accredited university
• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited university

Candidates must have successfully passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).

Experience

While the contract establishes a general minimum of one year of RN experience, this specific assignment requires:

• At least 2 years of acute-care hospital nursing experience in Medical-Surgical care
• Strong demonstrated experience in Neurology
• Strong experience caring for patients with seizures and managing seizure-related clinical needs

Licensure

• Current, valid Registered Nurse license in at least one U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth

Certifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS if required by the client
