Position Summary
The Registered Nurse provides professional performance and direct patient care in the Ambulatory OB/GYN Department. Responsibilities include nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and families across the health care continuum.

Position: Registered Nurse
Department: Ambulatory OB/GYN
Schedule: 36 Hours per week (Days/Evenings/Nights)
Education Requirements
- Associate’s degree or Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited school.
- BSN preferred. Non‑BSN candidates must enroll in a BSN program within one year of hire and complete it by the end of the semester in which their four‑year anniversary occurs.
Licensure & Certifications
- Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Massachusetts in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Fetal Monitoring certification.
- Additional certifications may be required for specific practice areas.
Experience
- Current (within last 2 years) experience in Outpatient/Ambulatory OB/GYN.
- Telephone triage experience required.
- Antenatal Testing / NST / Fetal Monitoring experience and certification required.
- Labor & Delivery experience required.
- Epic documentation experience preferred.
- NST/EFM experience required.
- Relevant specialty experience or certification required for certain areas (e.g., enterostomal therapy, epidemiology, peri‑operative areas).
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Organizational and prioritization skills.
- Multilingual skills beyond English preferred.
- Analytical ability to solve clinical nursing issues and conduct quality improvement projects.
- Delegation of patient care activities.
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities and manage stress associated with patient care and organizational issues.
Compensation
Hourly rate range: $38.05 – $75.33, determined by education, experience, and licensure. Included benefits: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, flexible spending accounts, 403(b) savings plan, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources supporting employee well‑being.
