Registered Nurse – Acute Trauma MedSurg – PRN

This role is a per diem nursing position offering a flexible schedule with multiple tiered pay options based on shifts completed within a six-week cycle. It requires an experienced nurse capable of practicing independently in similar clinical settings, providing both routine and complex care while managing long-term patient goals. The nurse delegates tasks appropriately and demonstrates leadership qualities aligned with core competencies.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—addressing patients’ psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, administering medications, monitoring treatment effects, documenting care, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred), at least one year of related experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification. The role emphasizes clinical competence, patient-centered care, and effective communication skills.
