Registered Nurse – Acute Oncology MedSurg

Role Overview:

This position involves providing independent nursing care in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of various aspects of patient situations. The nurse will deliver both routine and complex care, develop long-term care plans, and manage contingencies effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients.


• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.


• Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and efficacy.


• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.


• Assess education needs and provide appropriate patient and family education, resources, and support.


• Delegate tasks to care team members to ensure optimal patient management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.


• At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.


• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
