What You'll Do
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Perform age and disease specific assessments independently.
- Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
- Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
- Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions.
- Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
- Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team.
- Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
- Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
Requirements
- Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required. BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.
- Experience: Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
- Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey. BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire. National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
