Registered EEG TechnicianFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered EEG Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Burlingame, California. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Start date: 07/13/2026Assignment length: 13 weeksShift: DaysHours: 5 X 8Work setting: HospitalNumber of beds: 241Charting system: Dell, Epic (Cadence, Care Everywhere, ClinDoc), GE Healthcare (Centricity), Harris, IBM (Initiate Healthcare)Required Qualifications:One year's recent experience as an EEG Technician requiredCurrent BLS certification (AHA/ARC)Preferred Qualifications:REEGT Certification (ABRET)Other certifications and licenses may be required for this positionSummary:A Registered EEG technician is a neurodiagnostic technologist who specializes in running electroencephalogram (EEG) tests, which are used to monitor brain activity and assist in diagnosing neurological disorders.Essential Work Functions:Perform routine and advanced EEG procedures to obtain information for physician diagnosis of neurological and nervous system disordersGather and document patient medical history to include neurologic symptomatology and medications to guide the diagnostic process.Educate patients and family members on test procedures to ensure understanding.Monitor and adjust EEG equipment to ensure optimal recordingsAssess and document EEG recordingsComplete all documentation and report preparation in an accurate and timely manner per established guidelines ensuring reports meet established guidelines for accuracy and completenessMaintain work environment, supplies, and equipment per established guidelinesMaintain current knowledge of trends, regulation, equipment, policies and procedures pertaining to functional areaPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of practiceRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languageAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bendInterpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipmentMental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
