Role Summary
Registered Branch Associate working closely with a Financial Advisor to serve existing clients, build and maintain relationships, and support branch operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deepen relationships with existing clients.
- Collect suitability information to open new accounts.
- Research portfolio performance, costs, fees, asset allocation, and provide recommendations to Financial Advisor and clients.
- Execute Financial Advisor‑solicited buy/sell orders and confirm with clients.
- Answer general client questions regarding Edward Jones stock recommendations and withdrawals.
- Plan business activities and collaborate with the team to evaluate and execute branch strategies.
- Continuously develop personal and professional skills.
Training & Support
- Comprehensive training that may include mentoring, job shadowing, coaching, and branch office visits.
- Support network extending beyond the branch, including headquarters assistance via phone, email, and firm intranet resources.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in securities/financial services industry preferred.
- Series 7 and Series 66 licenses required; if not currently registered, licenses may be obtained during study period.
- FINRA registrations required within three months; state insurance licenses also required.
