Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)ESS is seeking a qualified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students with behavioral, academic, and functional needs in a school-based setting. The RBT will work under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and in collaboration with the special services team to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, behavior intervention plans, and skill acquisition programs.Responsibilities:Fulfill all duties expected of paraprofessionals in accordance with district and school guidelinesCollaborate and work under the guidance of a BCBA and/or Director of Special ServicesImplement individualized behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans using evidence-based ABA strategiesAccurately collect and record student data as directed by the BCBASupport students with behavioral regulation, academic engagement, and daily life skills developmentMaintain certification and ongoing training as required by the BACB and the school districtUnderstand and follow all safety, confidentiality, and security protocols within the school environmentParticipate in in-service training and professional development sessionsPerform other related duties as assigned by supervising staff or administratorsQualifications:Must meet one of the following (per district policy):60+ college credits in education or a related fieldPassing score on the Praxis ParaPro Assessment with a High School DiplomaCurrent certification as a Registered Behavior Technician through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)Demonstrated experience working with children, preferably in educational or behavioral support settingsStrong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively in English with students, families, and school staffKnowledge of disabilities and best practices in special educationMust pass a criminal background checkThoroughly trained, qualified, and capable of meeting the physical and emotional demands of the roleNegative tuberculosis test required prior to start of employmentWork Settings May Include:1:1 student support for behavior, academic, or physical needs including transitions, toileting, feeding, and other personal care assistanceSelf-contained classrooms, providing support to the teacher and students across instructional and behavioral tasksPull-Out Resource (POR) settings, offering academic and behavioral assistance during small group instructionInclusion/ICR (In-Class Resource) environments, helping students participate meaningfully in the general education classroomAbout ESSAs leaders in the education staffing space since 2000, ESS specializes in placing qualified staff in daily, long-term, and permanent K-12 school district positions including substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school support staff.
