Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma orequivalent and current RBT certification or working towardcertification.

REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education, and principal of assigned school.

JOB GOAL: The RBT is expected to provide consistent, professional, and student-centered support;implement assigned interventions with fidelity; collect accurate data; maintain confidentiality; collaborate effectively with the educational team; and contribute to a positive school environment in which students with disabilities can participate, learn, and make meaningful progress.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and terms of employment according to approved salary schedules.

EVALUATIONS: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with provisionsof the district evaluation plan

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide individualized behavioral support to students in general education, special education, and other school settings.
• Assist to implement behavior intervention plans, and instructional strategies developed by qualified professionals.
• Support students in developing appropriate communication, social, emotional, academic, and adaptive skills.
• Assist students in transitioning between activities, classrooms, and school environments.
• Promote student independence and reduce reliance on adult prompts when appropriate.
• Support students in participating in classroominstruction and school activities.
• Use positive reinforcement and other approved behavioral strategies to increase appropriate behaviors and skills.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Special Education or designed supervisor.

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $14.83 Per Hour
