Remote | South Region
Territory: Maryland/Virginia through Florida
$150,000 base salary plusbonus paid out monthly
Remote role | Travel required

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a growing specialty food distribution company that is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead sales performance across the South Region.

This is a strong fit for a hands-on sales leader with experience in specialty food, FMCG, foodservice, grocery, wholesale distribution, or consumer packaged goods who knows how to coach field sales teams, drive revenue, improve gross profit, and build accountability across multiple territories.

The right person is not just a manager from behind a desk. They need to be comfortable working remotely while maintaining a strong field presence, riding with sales reps, meeting customers, identifying performance gaps, and developing future leaders.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and develop a regional team of 8-10 Business Managers .
• Own regional performance across revenue, placements, cases, and gross profit .
• Coach selling behaviors through consistent field time with reps and customers.
• Review weekly sales results, identify gaps, and take action quickly.
• Support major accounts, customer strategy, competitive positioning, and execution.
• Drive new product launches, featured offers, and company sales initiatives.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop strong sales talent.
• Build performance plans, address underperformance, and prepare high performers for future leadership.
• Use data to understand wins, misses, margin, mix, customer trends, and market opportunities.

What They’re Looking For

• 10+ years of field sales management, account management, or regional sales leadership experience.
• Experience in specialty food, FMCG, foodservice, grocery, wholesale distribution, or similar industries .
• Proven experience leading and developing field sales teams .
• Strong understanding of customer relationships, margin, product mix, competitive positioning, and sales execution .
• Ability to use data to diagnose performance and hold teams accountable.
• Direct communicator who can coach, motivate, and address issues without avoiding tough conversations.
• Willingness to travel throughout the South Region and maintain strong field presence.
• Remote-based candidates located within the South Region preferred.
