This role is designed for a professional who is deeply connected to the region and someone who understands the municipalities, utilities, regulators, funding programs, and stakeholders that shape infrastructure decisions across Ohio.This role ensures profitability and financial health of the region, leads strategic planning efforts aligned with company goals, and drives growth through client engagement, business development, and cross‑selling opportunities. This includes, but is not limited to:Competitive PayHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance Options401(k)-match programPaid HolidaysSick and Vacation DaysProfit SharingTuition ReimbursementProfessional DevelopmentExcellent Working ConditionsWork-Life BalanceFitness ReimbursementKEY RESPONSIBILITIESProject and Financial ManagementResponsible for overall financial health and performance of drinking water / wastewater within Ohio, including budget, investment allocation, and profitability as directed by the senior vice presidentGuide growth strategy for drinking water / wastewater service line —identifying market opportunities and aligning resources to meet future demandExecutes risk management strategy; identifies and mitigates risk to Ohio operations, financial stability, and reputationDefines and analyzes problems in a timely manner and makes expedient, consistent decisionsServes as project manager on large multidisciplinary projectsStrategic Planning and CommunicationTakes direction from designated regional vice president, director, senior vice president, and/or executive vice president on company goals and visionParticipates in Regional Strategic Planning Committee and offers drinking water /wastewater market share growth strategyEstablishes and maintains effective communications between technical service areasHolds regular group meetings to coordinate workload distributionExecutes regional business development focused on drinking water / wastewater and coordinates upstream effortsClient EngagementSupport and understand client challenges, funding realities, and long‑range plans, connecting them with the right Spicer Group technical expertise to deliver value over timeDevelopment and execution of client maintenance plansDevelopment of new clients within OhioYou will maintain and grow strong relationships for municipalities, authorities, and utility owners; State and regional agencies; Industry partners, contractors, and funding stakeholdersServes as client manager on projects as assigned by the regional/senior vice presidentEngage with local government and industry stakeholders to influence policies and secure project opportunitiesPerforms community engagement within OhioImplement mechanisms to collect and analyze client feedback, using insights to refine drinking water / wastewater offerings and improve client experienceYour reputation and relationships will help position Spicer Group early in project planning conversations and long‑term infrastructure programsResponsible for drinking water / wastewater service line growth within Ohio and collaborate with others to identify/pursue cross-selling opportunitiesCollaboration and LeadershipProvide leadership for drinking water and wastewater services across Ohio, ensuring projects are delivered with technical excellence, sound judgment, and a strong understanding of local conditions, regulations, and client expectationsCollaborate with drinking water / wastewater leaders to assemble the right teams for complex projectsPartner with directors to ensure technical excellence and compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations for all technical service areasWorks with directors to compile project teams and pursue regionally-vetted workMay supervise employees, including completing annual performance reviews, managing attendance, and performance managementLead, mentor, and develop drinking water / wastewater professionals within the firm - creating an environment where people are challenged, supported, and proud of their workCollaborate with other regional managers to share best practices, align strategies, and pursue cross-regional business opportunitiesCollaborate with the marketing department and directors to compose and complete large and/or formal proposalsPhysical presence is an essential function of this job. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility does not preclude assigning duties not listed herein if such duties and responsibilities are a reasonable assignment to the position.POSITION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in related discipline, or experience equivalentSignificant experience in drinking water and wastewater engineering, planning, or infrastructure deliveryEstablished relationships within OhioExperience leading complex municipal or utility projects from planning through deliveryA background working with public funding programs, regulatory agencies, and local decision‑makersDemonstrate competency in client management and engagement, project management, communication, financial management, and collaborationProven ability to lead teams and mentor professionalsStrong communication skills and the confidence to represent Spicer Group with clients, partners, and community stakeholdersAbility to travel 50%PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSProfessional licensure (PE) and relevant certification(s) are strongly preferredFOR MORE INFORMATIONFor more information regarding our firm and/or this position, please visit the Spicer Group website at .
