Hydraulic And Pneumatic Fluid Power Application Sales EngineerPurvis Industries is a leading distributor of bearing, mechanical power transmission, electrical, fluid power, industrial products, and conveyor systems. We seek a sales-focused product and application expert to lead our Hydraulic and Pneumatic fluid power efforts. Our customer base includes such diverse industries as oil & gas, aggregate, cement, food & beverage, mining, and many more.The Hydraulic and Pneumatic fluid power Application Sales Engineer will work with our field sales personnel to grow our sales in hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems at new and existing customers. They will accomplish this through direct sales calls throughout the assigned Purvis geographical area and via electronic means (Teams, phone, video chat).

They will assist with new applications (sizing, specifying, and designing) as well as existing applications (troubleshooting, repair, or replacement). Additionally, they will support our internal engineering design teams to assist in designing and applying hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power.The day-to-day work of the Application Sales Engineer involves meeting with customers and/or team members, providing technical advice and assistance on product selection and sizing, creating proposals or assisting in proposals with suppliers and team members, providing training to customers and team members, and assisting with product-specific marketing such as eCommerce.As an Application Sales Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Directly participate in sales efforts to close ordersCoordinate fluid power sales and systems with various Branches and Regional ManagersIdentify target accounts and prospectsWork with the marketing team to produce marketing materials and events promoting fluid power.Provide marketing suggestions for social media posts and other digital contentUtilize AutoCAD, Solidworks, and manufacturer-provided softwareProvide advanced-level technical application support via phone, video conference, or in personStay current on new products and technologies and educate Customers and Purvis Team Members about these new developmentsDetermine final disposition of warranty claims and work with suppliers to resolve difficult casesProduce and present technical training for Customers and Purvis Team Members about hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power.Other duties as assigned by Management.Skills & AbilitiesStrong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power, engineering principles, and creative problem solvingStrong customer service and communication skillsStrong work ethic and attention to detailAbility to read and understand technical drawingsProficiencies: Microsoft Office, TeamsGood driving recordEducation & ExperiencePrefer a B.S. in Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent experienceFive (5) years of hydraulic and pneumatic fluid powerJob Type: Full time, 8-hour days M-FTravel: up to 50% domesticBenefits Available:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) with company matchingFlexible Spending AccountPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysShort-Term / Long-Term DisabilityLife InsurancePurvis Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer and promotes a drug free workplace.
