Regional Director - Clinical Research Operations

Lead Operational Excellence Across a Growing Clinical Research Network

We are partnering with an innovative clinical research SMO seeking an experienced Regional Director of Clinical Operations to provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of clinical research sites primarily in Oklahoma.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a clinical research site operations professional with strong project management expertise, multi-site oversight experience, and a proven ability to drive study performance, enrolment, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Operations & Project Leadership

• Lead operational execution of clinical studies from start-up through enrolment and study delivery.


• Develop and oversee study timelines, milestones, risks, and deliverables.


• Coordinate cross-functional teams including site operations, recruitment, regulatory, quality, and sponsor stakeholders.


• Ensure studies are activated efficiently and executed according to timelines and performance goals.


• Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks that may impact enrolment, revenue, or study delivery.

Multi-Site Performance Management

• Oversee performance across multiple research sites across Oklahoma and Kansas.


• Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement.


• Partner with site leadership to optimise study delivery, patient recruitment, and resource utilisation.


• Develop and implement corrective action plans where performance improvements are required.


• Support scalable operational processes and best-practice adoption across sites.

Strategic Leadership

• Serve as a key liaison between site leadership, sponsors, CROs, investigators, and executive stakeholders.


• Provide regular executive-level reporting on performance, study progress, risks, and growth opportunities.


• Contribute to organisational initiatives focused on operational scalability, quality, and long-term growth.


• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in a life sciences, healthcare, or related discipline.


• 7+ years of experience within clinical research operations.


• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing teams, sites, or regional operations.


• Demonstrated experience leading multi-site clinical operations.


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

This role will require on site presence across the region, applicants should be based in or willing to relocate to OKC Area, Oklahoma.
