Regional Chief Estimator
OHLA USA is seeking a Regional Chief Estimator in Irvine, CA. This is a full-time in office position.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of Estimating process
- Conduct thorough analysis of drawings and specifications, ensuring required information is provided.
- Perform detailed project cost estimate using estimating software such as HCSS.
- Research selected products from a cost and constructability perspective.
- Solicit sub-contractor pricing and bids for different trades in preparation of cost estimate.
- Review progress and construction documents for constructability. Lead and participate in discussion regarding alternate detail and materials for specific areas or trades.
- Provide and present value engineering options and costs.
- Provide and present estimating productions and scheduling.
- Coordinate administrative staff in sending documents to vendors.
Qualifications:
- College degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum 15+ years' heavy civil estimating experience
- Substantial construction experience and / or engineering background
- Have a thorough understanding of construction means and methods.
- Local knowledge of the industry.
- Must be fluent in English – written and oral.
Skills:
- Highly proficient in selected software (Excel, Word, Outlook) HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software and P6 a plus.
- Ability to make decisions, work independently and coordinate estimating colleagues.
- Ability to meet critical project deadline, willingness to coordinate and work as a team member.

Compensation: The base salary rate being offered for this position is USD $200,000.00 per year to USD $250,000.00 per year. Please note that the salary range listed is specific to the role listed in California. Salary rates may vary for different individuals in the same role based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, and performance.
